I’d say do whatever works for you, it’s you’re home after all 😊

For me personally I like to match throughout the house, although that may also have something to do with my OCD 🤣

Well.....for years we’ve had all white plastic and not thought twice about it. I like to match these small details and touch points as it looks thought out. Mine are bronze as it goes with chrome taps etc. I think you can have two metallics per room.

The white plastic is the default isn’t it? I’ve got my eye on some lovely brushed brass handles and so think the white switches/plugs etc will just stand out for the wrong reasons. Two metallics is a good rule. Would you then match throughout a floor - I.e all of upstairs/downstairs or take it room by room?

I’ve done bronze switches sockets and door handles throughout. But I think you can vary from floor to floor although I wouldn’t want the landings and halls consistent. I think it’s probably just easier to have the same all over.
