I don’t know whether it’s the darker nights and chilly, moody mornings or what, but I’m finding great joy in spending some time each day (or at least I try to carve out this time) sitting in my dining room with a cuppa. You see, before the daytime chaos of toys inevitably ensues, or indeed after bedtime is done and dusted, it’s. just. so. lovely. and. quiet. I think the cosiness of the cold season help.
It’s making me think of ways to boost this little corner to make it even more inviting. I’m lucky to have the space to have a sofa in there as well as the dining table. A shelf with a lamp, a small side table for that cuppa, nice candles (out of reach, natch), a throw and a radio or speaker (in reach) seem like good additions.
Tell me, what’s your favourite spot to sit and why? How have you accessorised it to make it even better?
